Your upcoming role
The main tasks are to support VA SYD's technical project operations with information coordination to ensure good technical management. You will work to ensure that our project procurements follow established project guidelines and the agreed reference designation system in our requirement management portal. The work also involves supporting VA SYD's facility owners in the information management of the maintenance process and assisting in VA SYD's transition from analog to digital information management.
Tasks and responsibilities in the role:
- You will act as support and be the contact point between project managers, management, and suppliers.
- You are responsible for ensuring that information is managed in a structured manner according to applicable processes and systems and ensuring the information flow.
- You review information deliveries to ensure that contractors' deliveries meet the requirements that have been procured.
- You guide colleagues during changes with the perspective that the information should be accurate, relevant, accessible, secure, and traceable.

VA SYD invests in digitalization and technical information management. The BIM and GIS unit drives the development and management of VA SYD's systems for technical facility information and GIS. The unit currently consists of 11 employees distributed among documentation engineers, development engineers, cartographers, and several consultants and is now expanding with two positions. The unit is located within the Technology and Security department, which is responsible for delivering operational support to management and operations. The department coordinates, leads, and develops VA SYD's work in digitalization, security, technical standards, automation, and system and information management.
